About the event
Slovenian Brda, which in Italian means Collio, is the hilly region between the Isonzo River and its tributary, the Iudrio. The Brda hills are dotted with villages, winding through them with roads and trails, including the Alpe Adria Trail and the Walk of Peace. On the tour, we'll cycle among cherry trees, vineyards, and olive groves. We'll encounter several castles and fortifications built during the First World War to monitor the advance of soldiers from the hills. These lands were once home to smuggling and battles.
Today Brda has become a point of reference for cyclists.
